Hi, I'm Jane Lin Wood

From Around the World to Behind the Lens: My Story

Photography isn’t just a job for me—it’s a calling. Nearly 30 years ago, I took a quiet photo of my one-year-old niece. That single, gentle image awakened something in me. It showed me how photography can hold onto love—how it can preserve not just what we see, but what we feel. Since then, that spark has led me across continents and eventually brought me here, to Dallas, where I now create timeless, soulful portraits for families like yours.

I was born and raised in Taiwan, and I’ve always been drawn to the deeper stories within people and places. My years as a flight attendant allowed me to live in China, explore cultures around the world, and carry my camera as a constant companion. Among my most cherished journeys was a visit to Tibet—a place where time feels slower, the light feels sacred, and stillness holds meaning. That experience left a quiet mark on my heart—and it shapes the way I photograph today: with reverence, calm, and deep attention.

Now, I call the U.S. home, and I bring all of these life experiences into every portrait session I offer here in Dallas.
